CORCORAN IRRIGATION DISTRICT

The regular meeting of the Board of Directors of the Corcoran Irrigation District was held on Tuesday, July 09, 2024, at the office of the District, 1150 6 ½ Avenue, Corcoran, California at 9:00 a.m.

There were no announcements, additions, or deletions.
Upon motion of Director Boyett, seconded by Director Howard, and carried, the Board approved and authorized Mrs. Vasquez to draw Warrants on the Treasury of the District to pay invoices in the Warrant Register amounting to $985,072.44.
Upon motion of Director Hansen, seconded by Director Howard, and carried, the Board approved the minutes of the June 13, 2024 District Board of Directors meeting changing Tuesday, June 13, 2024 to Thursday, June 13, 2024.
Mr. Eagle reported the General Fund checking account balance of -$82,462.30 beginning June 1, 2024 and $124,896.29 ending June 30, 2024.
Mr. Eagle reported on certificate of investments at Kings Federal Credit Union, having a June 1, 2024 balance of $288,632.91, earning interest of $521.91, resulting in ending balance of $289,154.82. The Kings County Treasurer investments balance beginning June 1, 2024 was $2,493,302.48, with a $500,000.00 withdrawal to District’s General Fund, left a balance of $1,993,302.48. The District’s total investments, reported as of June 30, 2024, amounted to $3,732,002.22.
Mr. Eagle reported on the accounts receivable aging summary, with three growers being delinquent.
Mr. Eagle reported on June 2024 water deliveries of 11,744 acre-feet and canal use of 1,114 acre-feet. Combined water deliveries and canal use for June totaled 12,858 acre-feet. June water supplies were provided by surface water from the Kings and Kaweah River systems. June rainfall totaled 0.00 inches. 2023-2024 Water Year-to-date rainfall totaled 8.41 inches.
Mr. Eagle reported on the state of the District’s well field, with two wells in need of repairs. The current total well production was 0 CFS, with a potential of 122 CFS.
Mr. Eagle reported the Cost of Operations at $116.00 per acre-foot for the year.
Mr. Eagle asked the Board to consider appointing a District representative to the Tulare Lakebed Coordinated Groundwater Management Plan Executive Committee. Upon motion of Director Howard, seconded by Director Gilkey, and carried, the Board authorized Mr. Eagle to represent Corcoran Irrigation District on the committee.
Mr. Eagle asked the Board to consider adjusting the water toll rate to reflect current water conditions. The Board took no action. The current water toll rate remains at $100.00 per acre-foot.
Mr. Eagle informed the Board that there was no new information on solar projects.
Mr. Eagle informed the Board that the June El Rico GSA Board Meeting originally scheduled for this afternoon at 1:00 p.m. was cancelled.
Mr. Eagle informed the Board that there was no new information on California High Speed Rail.
Mr. Eagle informed the Board that the District was working with FEMA on DR-4699-CA.
Mr. Eagle informed the Board that there was no new information on legislation.
The closed session was canceled.
Next Board meeting was set for August 13, 2024.
There being no further business before the Board, the meeting was adjourned at 11:21 a.m.
